On a recent photo shoot in Las Vegas with Rick Ross, Wale and the rest of the Maybach Music Group I had to make a call down to the front desk to notify them that we’d be having a large amount of people coming up to our penthouse. A young lady answered the phone and this is how that convo went down.
Me: Hi this is Jared Raskind in room 58304. We are doing a photo shoot in here and we would like to let you know that there will be several people asking for access to the 58th floor.
Front Desk: Ok no problem but we can’t just let anyone up. Can you give me a list of names?
Me: Sure but some of them may seem a little odd to you because it’s a Hip Hop crowd.
Front Desk: That’s cool, I’m pretty Hip Hop.
Me: Ok then, here goes. Gucci Pucci…
Front desk (cutting me off and casually singing me a verse): GUCCI PUCCI, MONEY LONG, NOW WE CALL’M ALEX?
Me: Yes, but please don’t tell your friends.
Front Desk: I wont. Were you at the show last night?
Me: Yes.
Front Desk: Did you see me on the Jumbo Tron? I was on there all night in the front row.
Me: Wow, I guess you are pretty Hip Hop.
After that I just continued to list the names. But I thought the first part was a pretty comical exchange to have with the front desk of a hotel.
This shoot was pretty insane and had many extraordinary moments. We will post pictures, videos and more stories from behind the scenes soon.
